Supervised visitation across the City of Dallas

The City of Dallas spans more than 340 square miles across Dallas County, plus small portions of Collin, Denton, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties. The drive from Pleasant Grove to Far North Dallas can take 45+ minutes in traffic. That geography matters when a court orders supervised possession — most providers schedule from one fixed office, which forces the parent who lives farthest away to absorb the cost of every additional mile.

TruVisit Dallas does it differently. Our supervisors meet families at mutually convenient public locations across the entire City of Dallas, chosen with the child's comfort and the court order's safety conditions in mind. We don't charge mileage. We don't charge travel time.

Common Dallas meet-up locations

Locations are selected case-by-case based on the court order, the child's age, and what makes sense for the visit. Public, family-appropriate venues we use regularly:

  • Klyde Warren Park (Downtown)
  • Reverchon Park (Oak Lawn)
  • White Rock Lake — multiple family areas (East Dallas)
  • Lakewood Park
  • Northhaven Park (North Dallas)
  • Perot Museum of Nature and Science (indoor option)
  • Dallas Children's Aquarium (indoor option)
  • Bishop Arts District family venues
  • Dallas Public Library — Central, Lakewood, Preston Royal branches
  • Family-appropriate restaurants throughout Uptown, Bishop Arts, and Lakewood

Dallas summers run hot. From late May through September we lean toward air-conditioned indoor venues for the child's comfort and to avoid heat-safety issues that compromise visit quality.

Dallas County family district courts

Dallas County operates several family district courts dedicated to family law — including the 254th, 255th, 256th, 301st, 302nd, 303rd, 304th, 305th, and 330th District Courts. Most family law cases venued in the City of Dallas are heard at the George L. Allen Sr. Courts Building at 600 Commerce Street in downtown Dallas. Our session reports are formatted in the objective, non-editorial, timestamped style these courts expect.

Supervised possession in Texas is governed primarily by Texas Family Code Chapter 153, which controls conservatorship, possession, and access. For the broader process, see our guide to the Texas family court process.

If your court order is from a Dallas County family district court Have a copy of the order ready when you call. The two things we most need to confirm during intake: the type of supervision ordered (full supervised possession vs. monitored exchange vs. therapeutic), and any specific location or duration requirements written in the order. We can typically schedule a first session within 48–72 hours of intake completion.
